Dottorato in Astronomia presso l'Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata" nel 2014. I suoi interessi scientifici includono:

  • design di strumenti per imaging spettro-polarimetrico (Fabry-Pérot Interferometers, Magneto-Optical Filters) per telescopi solari sinottici e i futuri telescopi solari di classe 4 m;
  • sistema di reiettore di calore e controllo termico per il telescopio GREGOR e per European Solar Telescope (EST);
  • analisi di dati spettropolarimetrici, dinamica dell'atmosfera solare;
  • simulazioni di riconnessione magnetica, riscaldamento coronale;
  • sorgenti ed effetti dello space weather;
  • space weather esoplanetario, dinamica dell'atmosfera di esopianeti e abitabilità dei sistemi esoplanetari.

Si occupa attualmente dello sviluppo dello strumento di piano focale (imaging spettropolarimetrico basato su Fabry-Pérot) per il telescopio EST, (H2020 SOLARNET) dello sviluppo dello strumento italiano IBIS 2.0 e dello sviluppo del Tor Vergata Synoptic Solar Telescope ( TSST) per lo studio dello space weather. Fa parte del gruppo di Review tecnica del telescopio EST (SAG review group, rappresentante italiano) e del team tecnico di IBIS 2.0 (INAF). Fa inoltre parte dei gruppi di lavoro su outreach e divulgazione del Dip. di Fisica, del progetto EST e di SWICO.
