per interesse o dabbenaggine fomentan negli altri il senso del mistero

per disprezzo dell’umano raziocinio propugnano ‘l dogma

per opportunismo assecondano i potenti

per vanita` o mediocrita` usurpano il lavoro altrui

per boria o pigrizia parlano oscuramente

per svariate ragioni son fatti come i tamburi, li quali guardati per un verso paion tondi e per l’altro quadrati

Research Interests:


- Experimental techniques: Ground-based Optical and IR astronomy. Realization of solar image acquisition systems based on CCD and CMOS detectors for imaging interferometers (IPM@THEMIS and IBIS@DST/NSO). Observational campaigns at various telescopes. Thermal Detector with chopping and double Fabry optics for IR focal plane cryogenic bolometer.
Principal Investigator of Italian Space Agency SM ADAHELI.


- Image analysis: realization of automatic procedure of image segmentation (Dynamic and Optimal Threshold, Medial Axis Transform, skeleton, spatial
operators) and investigation of statistical tools for pattern analysis of groundbased and space images (Information entropy, PCF, VPD, etc.).


- Solar Physics: Dynamics of solar low atmosphere, dynamical models of passive magnetic advection, solar granulation and supergranulation, solar activity.
